Join Art Muse Los Angeles on a tour of Anselm Kiefer’s exhibition Exodus, featuring new work at Gagosian at Marciano Art Foundation in Los Angeles. The exhibition’s large-scale paintings use mixed media to highlight alchemical elements using materials such as gold leaf, copper, and sediment, among others. Kiefer includes inscriptions in Hebrew from the book of Exodus that imbue the work with themes of loss, meditation, and journey. The exhibition’s location at the Marciano Art Foundation, a former Masonic temple, adds intrigue to the work that further emphasizes the sublime aspects of Kiefer’s paintings.
